How does it work?

After injection into the skin, Profhilo starts to work immediately.

Its unique structure allows it to flow freely through the subcutaneous tissue and dermis in the target areas, creating volume evenly over the following 24 to 48 hours.

This gives Profhilo a significant advantage over other filler treatments, as the product doesn’t form into lumps or nodules that need to be massaged to help create the desired result.How quickly does Profhilo work?

The product remains in the skin for about 28 days, in which time it continues to stimulate the production collagen and elastin by slowly releasing the HA.

This creates both a ‘dermal scaffold’ that tightens and lifts the skin, while also boosting skin tissue quality through HA’s hydrating and stimulating action.

Are there any side effects?

As with any injection treatment, minor risks or side effects are possible. These include bruising, swelling, allergic reaction, infection and nerve damage.

However, with a procedure involving fewer injection points and a more biocompatible product, Profhilo has worked to minimise downtime from this treatment.

Immediately after injection, you will be able to feel the product but it will start to diffuse very quickly and feel softer by the following day.

Any slight bruising or swelling should disappear in a short time, but we do recommend that after treatment you

avoid strenuous physical exercise for 24 hours
do not have other cosmetic procedures for 48 hours.
do not have a sauna or steamy bath for the first few days
avoid sun or UV light exposure if bruising or prolonged swelling occurs.

When will I see results?

For better and longer-lasting results, we recommend you have 2 Profhilo treatments, 4 weeks apart.
